Stephanie Jarrard Honored at Reinhardt University's Honors Day

Stephanie Jarrard, a senior from Bishop, Ga., was recognized at Reinhardt University's recent Honors Day Ceremony on Sunday, April 6, 2014. In all, one faculty member and 115 students were honored.

Jarrard was recognized as an Academic Degree Program Award recipient for language arts education.

Dr. Anne Good, assistant professor of history and a resident of White, Ga., was honored with the Elizabeth Moss Bailey Faculty Mentor Award. This award is decided upon by the Student Government Association. It recognizes the faculty member who best exemplifies the University mission, who affects lives for the better, who integrates faith and learning and who educates the whole person.

Award Descriptions

Outstanding Students: only two Most Outstanding Students are named each year by the University faculty.

Academic Degree Program Awards: presented to up to two students from each of the University's 41 undergraduate degree programs.

Reinhardt College Academic Scholars: presented to seniors and juniors with a cumulative grade-point average of 3.9 or higher.

Hugh Peterson Jr. Academic Scholars: awarded to seniors and juniors with a cumulative grade-point average of 3.6 to 3.89.

The "No Greater Love" Award: presented to a student who has shown selfless giving to others. This award is selected by the University chaplain.
