2015 Mar 9

Each year Reinhardt University, along with more than 1,400 other colleges and universities in all 50 states and the District of Columbia, honors those undergraduate and graduate students who have made significant contributions to their campus in the areas of scholarship, leadership, and campus involvement by selecting them to Who's Who Among Students in American Universities & Colleges.

Taylor Pineda, a junior from Winder, Ga., was among 40 Reinhardt University students named to Who's Who Among Students in American Universities and Colleges for 2015.

"The faculty, staff and students of the University wish to thank these outstanding students for what they have meant to our institution," said Dr. Walter May, director of student activities and assistant dean of students. "Our success as an institution has been built on the efforts and accomplishments of students such as these."

Who's Who is one of the most highly regarded and long-standing honors programs in the nation, having earned the overwhelming respect of college faculties and administrations. And for the students - the outstanding campus leaders of the year - national recognition by the Who's Who program marks a pinnacle of scholastic and extracurricular achievement. The aim of Who's Who Among Students program is to recognize young adults who enhance the positive image of American youth through their contributions to their community and college through their curricular and extracurricular involvement.

Selections to Who's Who Among Students are made by individual schools through nominating upperclassmen students eligible for the program. Only upperclassmen (juniors and seniors) students matriculating in a four-year undergraduate curriculum with a 3.5 GPA are eligible for nomination to Who's Who Among Students.
