Kristen Bohannon Elected to Serve in Reinhardt University Student Government Association

Kristen Bohannon from Canton, Ga., was recently elected to serve on Reinhardt’s Student Government Association as the Student Body at Large Representative.

The Senate, under the direction of Director of Student Activities and Assistant Dean of Students Dr. Walter P. May, celebrated its 55th anniversary in spring 2012. It is one of the University’s oldest student organizations. SGA is made up of 55 elected and appointed representatives from different areas of the University.

The Senate receives, seeks, and responds to student concerns, provides a voice for students in academic and institutional affairs, establishes committees as necessary for the function of the SGA, passes legislation on behalf of the Student Body, and protects and promotes the individual and collective rights of the students.
